Rush owner willing to put up $20M for new downtown arena

In his support for a new arena in downtown Saskatoon, the owner of the Saskatchewan Rush is willing to put his money where his mouth is.
Bruce Urban, who owns the National Lacrosse League team that plays its home games at SaskTel Centre, said in an interview Tuesday that he would contribute as much as 10 per cent to the cost of a new downtown facility.
Urban estimated that would amount to about $20 million, based on a consultants’ report presented to Saskatoon city council Monday.
