Rounding up the Saskatoon World Cup
For the second consecutive year a new champion was crowned at the Saskatoon World Cup. Brazil edged Poland 2-1 in the final and captain Thiago Prado lifts the trophy for the first time.
Brazil came into the tournament somewhat off the radar. Unseeded and eliminated at the group stage in 2016, they brought in Ghanaian-born import Edem Mortotsi. The former FC Edmonton professional was a dominant force, scoring eight times and winning tournament MVP.
