River Rescue of Male

Police as well as Fire and Protective Services were called to the river just North of the 25th Street bridge after a passerby heard a person swimming in river. When an attempt was made to pull the male into the rescue craft he became combative towards Fire and Police personnel. Eventually he was restrained and taken ashore to safety. The 25 year old male was found to be wanted on a Canada wide warrant for being unlawfully at large. He was also charged with assaulting a police officer as wel
