Ride-sharing rules face uncertain timeline in Saskatoon

City hall seems likely to lift some restrictions on Saskatoon’s taxi industry while introducing rules to allow ride-sharing companies in 2018.

The answer became no clearer at Monday’s city council meeting, when council unanimously approved a study by the city administration of the possible options.
Some councillors appeared to want to test-run changes to allow taxis more flexibility before considering rules to allow app-based ride-sharing companies like Uber and
