Regulatory issues delay multi-billion-dollar potash merger

Regulatory issues have delayed a multi-billion-dollar fertilizer industry merger, concern over which has led to strong comments from Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall and the Alberta NDP in recent days. 
The proposed fusion of Saskatoon-based Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc. and Agrium Inc., which is headquartered in Calgary, is now expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2017, both companies said Thursday.
