Rain helps in fight against Rabbit Creek wildfire in P.A. National Park
The Rabbit Creek wildfire has become easier to fight thanks to weekend rain.
According to a news release on Saturday from Prince Albert National Park, four millimetres of rain near Waskesiu and 55mm on the southeastern part of the fire allowed more ground teams to work on the fire.
All previous area closures are still in effect, but lakes in the area (Waskesiu, Crean, and Hanging Hearts) are open for the public.
