Rags determined as cause of afternoon garage fire in Mount Royal

A garage in Saskatoon’s Mount Royal neighbourhood is suffering damage estimated at around $10,000 after a rag used to refinish wood spontaneously combusted late Monday afternoon.
According to a fire department news release, firefighters were called to the garage at 234 Avenue Q North just after 5:30 p.m. Monday, where upon entry they discovered the double detached garage filled with heavy smoke and high heat conditions.
