Public Advisory: Relative Scam

The Saskatoon Police are warning the public about a recent phone scam.The SPS has received a number of complaints that a person has called and stated that a member of their family is in trouble with Police and is in need of financial assistance to make bail, pay a ticket, etc. The victim is then directed on how to send money, by this person posing as an officer or a lawyer.The SPS does not contact people in this manner.
