Pope names new bishop for Saskatoon

Nearly a year after the position was vacated, Saskatoon’s Roman Catholic Diocese has a new bishop.
Pope Francis announced Tuesday that Mark Hagemoen will be the eighth bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon. A date for his installation has not been set.
Hagemoen is currently bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mackenzie-Fort Smith, a region that includes northern Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories and part of Nunavut.
