Police warn of phone scammer impersonating Saskatoon Light & Power

A phone scam in Saskatoon is using the threat of shutting off your power to try to get money from people.
Police received a complaint on Friday after a resident received a voicemail from someone claiming to be with Saskatoon Light & Power, according to a Saskatoon Police Service news release.
The caller said the person’s power bill hadn’t been paid and “he was at risk of his power being shut off,” the news release said.
