Polar vortex continues to toss Saskatchewan into frigid temps
Saskatchewan residents looking for relief from the cold weather are out of luck.
Temperatures in Regina and Saskatoon are expected to plummet into the mid -30s C over the next two days and experts with Environment Canada say more extreme cold warnings and alerts are expected.
Terri Lang, a warning preparedness meteorologist with Environment Canada, said the frigid temperatures are the result of the polar vortex, which sometimes injects freezing northern air into the south.
