Philip Chicoine gets 12-year prison sentence; highest-ever in Saskatchewan for child porn

A provincial court judge has imposed the highest child porn-related sentence in Saskatchewan history on a Saskatoon man who paid for, and directed, the live-stream online sexual abuse of children overseas.
On Tuesday, Philip Michael Chicoine was sentenced to 12 years in prison for creating child pornography of between 12 and 18 victims, some as young as 10 months old. He paid a total of $23,000 to impoverished mothers in Romania and Philippines to abuse children —
