Paulsen: It's always been a scary time for women

A recent study authored by members of the medical community cited a lack of mentorship for female doctors. The study blamed a reluctance by male doctors to mentor female doctors, for fear of being falsely accused of sexual harassment. Multiple references to the #metoo movement were made.
The irony of the situation is almost too painful to bear. #Metoo, created as a platform of empowerment, is now being used as a shield to deny opportunity.
