P.A. Amber Alert: Accused Jarrod Charles makes first court appearance

The 19-year-old man facing sexual assault, kidnapping and abduction charges after this week’s Amber Alert in Prince Albert will remain in custody for at least one more day.
Jarrod John Charles appeared briefly Thursday morning in Prince Albert provincial court, charged after an eight-year-old girl was taken Tuesday afternoon from a Prince Albert playground. The Crown told court that it opposes the release of Charles, who is scheduled to make his next appearance Friday.
