No injuries as freight train derails near Ernfold Sunday night

There were no injuries reported after a Canadian Pacific Railway train derailed near the southwest community of Ernfold.
The incident happened Sunday around 11:10 p.m., CP confirmed in an email. CP said there were no “public safety concerns” that resulted from the incident.
The company estimated that 26 cars had derailed, a spokesperson said.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
Ernfold is approximately 173 kilometres west of Regina.
