New Faces New Places: Indigenous patterns bring inspiration to Awasis Boutique
Christine Marie started out sewing blankets and bibs for her two young sons, but it wasn’t long until the Indigenous inspired prints were catching the eye of other mothers.
“People were very interested in the prints that I had,” she said. “They were just feathers and pretty basic, but honestly at that time, it was so hard to find any kind of Indigenous themed fabric.”
