New coach Barney 'ready for the challenge' as Broncos forge ahead

HUMBOLDT — At 6-foot-4, Scott Barney is certainly taller than most hockey coaches but, admittedly, he’s a little short on coaching experience.
Yet there he is, the new wide-eyed interim head coach of the Humboldt Broncos. While it’s not something he pictured going into this season when he joined the team as an assistant coach, he says he welcomes the challenge.
