Media requests cameras in courtroom for Stanley trial

A Battlefords judge has reserved a decision about whether to allow cameras in the courtroom during portions of the murder trial of Gerald Stanley.
A media consortium made up of the Saskatoon StarPhoenix, CBC, CTV, Global and APTN submitted an application requesting permission to film parts of the trial and broadcast it live.
The media presented arguments before a judge at Battlefords court of Queen’s Bench on Tuesday. A temporary publication ban was imposed on the hearing.
