Mary Culbertson named new Treaty Commissioner

The Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations and the federal government have appointed Mary Culbertson of Keeseekoose First Nation the to be the Saskatchewan’s new Treaty Commissioner. She will serve until Jan. 28, 2021.
Culbertson, who holds a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan, has worked at both the provincial/territorial and federal levels of government and with Indigenous organizations for more than 20 years. She has been involved in the community as a voluntee
