Man on remand found dead at Saskatoon Correctional Centre

An investigation is underway after an inmate was found dead Wednesday at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre.
According to the province’s Justice Department, the man was on remand when he “was found unresponsive in his bunk.” He was pronounced dead around 1:30 p.m., the province said in a news release.
Saskatoon police, the Ministry of Justice and and the provincial coroner are investigating.
The man’s next of kin has been notified.
The Ministry of Justice has scheduled a n
