Man faces charges after barricading himself into city home

On Sunday Saskatoon police received a report that a 26-year-old man had unlawfully confined another man before barricading himself inside a home on the 800 block of 33rd Street west at around 3:30 a.m.
The victim soon escaped unharmed, but the suspect remained inside the home for some five hours before emerging soon after 9 a.m., after efforts by Saskatoon police, tactical officers and crisis negotiators to convince him to do so.
