Man arrested after pointing replica handgun at Saskatoon police officer

A man who pointed a replica handgun at a police officer and his canine partner is in custody with only dog bite injuries after an incident in Saskatoon.
A Saskatoon police officer was parked on the side of road at Northumberland Avenue and 33rd Street West at about 12:30 a.m. Friday when the incident began. “He saw the male walking with a handgun pointing it in various directions,” according to a Saskatoon Police Service news release.
The officer got out of his vehicle and gave the m
