Love at first sight as NASCAR's Powell hits victory lane in Saskatoon

A patch of fast-running asphalt on Saskatoon’s outskirts met with enthusiastic approval from a first-time visitor Wednesday night.
Cole Powell, who hails from Mount Brydges, Ont., sparked some fast chemistry between his Chevy Camaro and the surface at Wyant Group Raceway.
“This is my new favourite track today,” Powell said after a NASCAR Pinty’s stop that featured two full races in one evening. He placed second in the opener, and won the closer.
