Letter of the Day: Way ahead of city on composting

We are being beaten black and blue by the industrial-grade waste collection in our neighbourhoods. Bigger trucks will be snatching up smaller bins at greater intervals for ever-increasing cost to the homeowner. One wonders if the $200,000 a year civic geniuses who plan these things have got the jump on Oct. 17 to facilitate these mind-altered choices.
I pay about $60 a year for a blue bin that stores my extra flower pots. I expect after Oct. 17 it will still hold pot(s). My valued recyclables go
