Letter of the Day: Tighter gun control unlikely

Maybe our American neighbours will finally wake up and reform gun laws, but probably not. I hear calls for more security at hotels, concerts, sporting events, political events and all large gatherings. It would cost billions to secure all events and I suggest the bill gets sent to the National Rifle Association and the senators who vote against gun control. Why any citizen would want or need a gun which can shoot 700 to 900 rounds a minute is absolutely beyond me. Send the bill for security wher
