As reported, a motion was passed in council on July 23 to allow the temporary closure of Ninth Street at Lorne Avenue.
Our ward councillor, Cynthia Block, amended the motion to wait until after the Traffic Bridge reopens to install the temporary closure. However, this motion fails to stipulate provisions for an adequate time period after the bridge reopens to allow traffic patterns to readjust.
