Letter of the Day: Seniors have earned attention

Michele Lee cannot get her garbage bin to the curb — there are 200 people who have that service, with room for 300, but she isn’t eligible. What? Why do we pay taxes? We are generous with tax dollars for a lot of projects — the new art gallery for example — but we will not help this senior take her garbage bin to the curb. I’m a senior — right now I’m fit and able — but what happens to me when the time comes that I cannot do these things for myself
