Letter of the Day: Proper training needed on airplanes
The StarPhoenix recently reported that a Saskatoon medical resident saved a life on an Air Canada plane (SP, Jan. 15). Every Cub Scout knows that a person who has fainted needs to be placed flat, head down and feet up. Airplane attendants keep such a person upright. I have on three occasions had to intervene to save such persons. I had given the captains written reports on these mistaken efforts by their staff. I had written to the Air Canada Medical Officer.
