Letter of the Day: Learning from others is optimal

I had a disturbing and uplifting experience during a visit to the Remai Modern. The artist, Thomas Hirschhorn, asked: “What can I learn from you? What you can learn from me?” We sat together, as strangers and from different backgrounds, sharing stories and lessons. It left me wondering, if we knew each others’ stories, would we lean so easily into judgment and hatred?
