Letter of the Day: Grateful for act of kindness after fall

On Aug. 17, I tripped and fell over a curb in the bus mall. Reacting with embarrassment, I am sorry to say I failed to thank the two (or three?) men who helped me up. I don’t think I even made eye contact with them and I am ashamed of my selfishness and haste in rushing away as quickly as I could.
I was all right, just suffered a few bruises, but am very sorry I acted so badly when all these people wanted was to help. A very human reaction, no doubt, but I hope I have learned from my exper
