Letter of the Day: Dormant grass does not need to be cut

So, my question of the day is why is the city so intent on destroying the grass in Kinsmen Park?
As I write this letter to the editor I am sitting here, watching a utility sized, city owned lawn mower work over stretches of grass that have long since gone into hibernation due to the dry weather conditions.
The cumulative effect has been large sections, on the east side of the park, are now in serious danger of being turned into a virtual dust bowl.
