Laycock improves to 2-3 at trials with win over Jacobs

Saskatoon’s Steve Laycock won his only game of the day on Tuesday at the Canadian Olympic men’s curling trials in Ottawa.
Laycock scored three in the ninth end to beat 2014 Olympic gold medalist Brad Jacobs 8-6 in their Tuesday afternoon draw. That victory ran Laycock’s record to 2-3, and dropped Jacobs to 2-2.
Laycock plays once Wednesday — he’ll take on Mike McEwen (currently 3-1) in the morning draw.
