La Loche will soon be home to new student-led modular farm

La Loche will soon be home to a new student-led garden aimed at bringing fresh produce to the northern community.
On Thursday five students from the Dene High School in La Loche were in Ontario training to grow and harvest a variety of produce in a farm the size of a shipping container.
The community, which is still healing from a mass shooting on Jan. 22, 2016 that saw four people killed and several injured, will also benefit from the farm as it’s capable of producing up to 1,000 heads of
