Joshua Andrew Burwell sentenced for 2015 killing masked as a suicide

A Saskatoon man who drugged Bradley Adam Buffalo, strangled him with a rope and made it look like the man had committed suicide before confessing to the crime more than a year later, has been sentenced to life in prison with no parole eligibility for 16 years.
Joshua Andrew Burwell, 22, was originally charged with the first-degree murder of Buffalo between Oct. 5 and Oct. 7, 2015. On Monday, he was sentenced in Saskatoon Court of Queen’s Bench after pleading guilty to second-degree murder.
