Jessica Rosen: A journey towards Canadian pride

Ironically, the time in my life when I felt most proud to be Canadian was when one of the saddest and most challenging moments in my life occurred.
In 2012, my dad was diagnosed with the blood cancer Leukemia. From that day until his passing this 2016, he spent countless days and nights in Saskatoon’s University Hospital oncology ward, receiving many treatments and numerous medications.
If my family had been living anywhere else in the world when my dad got sick, his journey would have mos
