Intoxicated man rescued from river was also a wanted suspect

An intoxicated man who was rescued from the river at the CP train bridge was arrested when police discovered he was wanted in connection with a theft. 
Saskatoon police were called to the river near the bridge on Tuesday at 8:29 p.m. for a report of a man walking in the water, according to a news release. Police also got a second call saying that the man was holding onto one of the pillars of the bridge.
