Huskies soccer rookies earn Canada West honours

Three University of Saskatchewan soccer team rookies have made an impression on the Canada West division and have earned accolades as a result.
From the men’s team, midfielder Nikolas Baikas, a native of Saskatoon, was named as a Canada West second team all-star and was also named to the all-rookie team.
Baikas led the Huskies with five goals and finished third in the conference with six assists.
Meanwhile, Haley Mercier and Payton Izsak were both named to the women’s all-rookie team
