Huskies' Boechler named Canada West defensive player of week

University of Saskatchewan Huskies player Brett Boechler earned the Canada West conference defensive player of the week award after registering 12 tackles in a 50-40 loss to the rival University of Regina Rams.
After taking the Thanksgiving weekend off, Canada West football action returns Saturday, Oct. 14 with a trio of games, including a pair of CW Football Showcase games. UBC versus Saskatchewan (7 p.m. CST)  can be seen across the CW football network on SaskTel (Saskatchewan).
