Huskie hoops, hockey squads lead conference semis

The University of Saskatchewan Huskies started fast in their Canada West women’s basketball semifinal.
The Huskies dumped the visiting Trinity Western Spartans 75-62 Thursday night at the PAC, giving them a 1-0 lead in their best-of-three playoff series. Game 2 goes Friday at 7:30 p.m and Game 3, if necessary, Saturday at the same time.
