Hostage Taking Report Turns Out To Be Hoax

There was a significant police response this morning in the Willowgrove part of the city.  At 8:40 AM a male person called the SPS Communications Centre, identified himself and indicated he was at a residence on Lucyk Cres and was  holding two people hostage.  The caller added that he had shot one of the hostages "in the knee" , went on to demand a ransom and indicated he was equipped with firearms and explosive devices.  Police and personnel from Med
