Holiday winter lights could glow on in Saskatoon

The warm glow of Christmas holiday lights could be extended in Saskatoon.
A proposed bylaw change would allow the lights to keep shining from dusk to dawn and would allow for a longer season.
Right now, the city-operated Christmas season lights are installed and begin operating the first week of December and are discontinued on Jan. 14. The lights operate from 6 p.m. to midnight and from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Extending the lights is not expected to cost more because eliminating a complex timing syste
