Here's what Saskatoon's backyard fires bylaw says

Here are the restrictions placed on backyard fires by the City of Saskatoon’s existing bylaw.
THE RECEPTACLE
The “fire box” must be no larger than 61 centimetres and must be made from non-flammable material like metal, brick or concrete. Metal must be at least 1.9 millimetres thick. Fireplaces and pits must be covered with a heavy gauge screen with openings no larger than 1.3 centimetres. Barbecues are covered by a different part of the fire bylaw.
