Government can't access gun dealer record without warrant: Goodale

Canada’s public safety minister says a provision expected to show up in the federal government’s forthcoming gun control bill will not make records of who purchased guns available without a search warrant. 
The bill has not been tabled, but is likely to include unfulfilled promises dating back to the Liberal Party’s 2015 federal election campaign, including the requirement that gun dealers keep records of sales and inventories.
