FULLER: Why did skepticism become our greatest virtue?

I’m skeptical of the skeptics, the people who use doubt to puff themselves up, to cover up what they really think, to use their incredulity to protect the way they want to see the world.
If something happens that they don’t like, they can simply dismiss it. “Sounds made up,” they can say.
Here’s something true. Many years ago, in a blizzard, I walked to my parents’ house. My father, a senior, was shovelling the sidewalk. I forgot I was wearing a balaclava. I d
