Fire ban issued for all parks in central, southern Sask
The province has enacted a fire ban for all Crown-owned land, parks and recreation facilities south of the Churchill River.
“Our long term seven-to-10-day weather systems indicate that we will have a high hazard in those areas,” Steve Roberts, executive director of wildfire management, said on a conference call to reporters.
Thirty-four fires are active in the province, three of which, around Pelican Narrows, are not contained.
