Fewer women working for Cameco than five years ago: report
Canada’s largest uranium mining company employs almost 100 fewer women than it did five years ago, and the number of women as a percentage of total employees has been trending down since 2012.
Cameco Corp. reported on Monday that at the end of 2016, 697, or 23.5 per cent, of its 2,963 employees were women. At the end of 2012, by comparison, 796, or 24.6 per cent, of the Saskatoon-based company’s 3,239 employees were women.
