Few businesses hiring, firing this quarter: survey

An overwhelming majority of Saskatoon-based businesses say they have no plans to hire new workers or get rid of existing ones this quarter, according to a new survey from the Manpower Group.
Only seven per cent of local businesses surveyed said they plan to hire, while an additional seven per cent said they anticipate cutbacks between October and December, the group said in its latest employment outlook survey.
