Early morning garage fire causes an estimated $40,000 in damages

The Saskatoon Fire Department received multiple calls early on Friday morning about a garage fire behind a house on the 1,000 block of 5th Street East, according to a press release.
The fire department dispatched three engine companies, an aerial ladder truck and a rescue truck to the scene at approximately 5:10 a.m.
Upon arrival crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from a garage. Crews started an exterior fire attack and had the fire under control in 40 minutes.
There were no injuries
