Driver backs vehicle into police car; man faces impaired driving charge

Saskatoon police say a 21-year-old man faces charges after he allegedly reversed his car and hit a patrol vehicle on Monday morning while impaired.
According to a city police news release, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle travelling eastbound on Eighth Street make a u-turn at a controlled intersection at the Louise Avenue intersection around 11 a.m.  The officer signalled the driver to pull over, but inetad the driver “sped off quickly” before pulling into a nearby parking lot
