Councillor wants to open downtown Saskatoon parks to dogs
Coun. Darren Hill wants to allow dogs on leashes in parts of two downtown Saskatoon parks where they are banned.
Hill made the comment before city council’s planning, development and community services committee endorsed a bylaw that would prohibit dogs and cats from the ecologically sensitive Northeast Swale.
The swale would join three city parks where dogs are banned: Kiwanis Memorial Park, Kinsmen Park and the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo.
